How the Club Works

The Global Penfriends website is for all types of penpallers. All you need is an email address and internet connection to make the most of our site. If you don't have an internet connection remember that your local library probably offers this service for free!

About the Penpal Club - How does it work?

Our Internet Friends club is very easy to join. To contact people through this club, you must perform the following steps.

1) Have a working email account.
2) Register a free penpal profile by following the instructions provided.
3) Search for a prospective penpal that fits your criteria OR.. wait for someone to contact you.

This club is a family friendly platform from where you can meet new penpals and friends from all over the world. By family friendly, we mean that it is safe for people of all ages - from children to adults. The site makes use of an internal messaging system, so you will never have to give out you email address to prospective penpals, until you feel comfortable with your new contacts. In order to send an internal message at Global Penfriends, you require a Premium Membership which requires a payment.

Recently we added a field on the penpal profile where people can register their postal address. Submitting your postal address is entirely optional. Registered postal addresses are not visible to people on our site unless they have purchased snailmail contact credits. This is a great way to get suprise letters from all over the world - you never know what will be in your postbox.

Global Penfriends administrators review each and every profile on our website. Any profiles that are found to be unsuitable for penpalling are deleted immediately. We also perform regular scans on our database for scammers and scammers for our members protection.

Once you have established contact with someone in our club through our internal messaging system, you are free to discuss how you will communicate with your new friend outside of our website - whether it be by post, email, telephone, msn, skype, yahoo messenger, aim or some other software. Most of our Internet friends members mention in their profile that they are looking for postal penpals - The internet IS actually a great tool to get genuine postal penpals!
