This site has allowed me to find true friends, and to get back to myself by sitting down at a desk writing letters by hand (away from screens). It must be very well run because I've had contact with lots of people and there's never been any scams or disturbance.

Actually haven’t encountered any weirdos on here!!! Not being an optimist. I really mean it. That’s because (1) you can change settings so that only people of a certain gender can talk to you. Not tryin be sexist, it’s just the only way sometimes to best avoid people who get the app ONLY to flirt and find an online date. ALSO there are settings that help you find a penpal who has similar preferences as you in terms of if you want to send real letters or just chat online. Me and my penpal are now really good friends! She speaks the language that I am learning which also has helped me to learn a lot more of my target language. Plus, I am learning real culture from a real person instead of out of a textbook. I’m bein so forreal. Love this app thanks so much guys!!!
