Global Penfriends is a great quasi-alternative to traditional social media. There are some really friendly people on this site, although it would be nice if some were more willing to connect. Still that's a people problem, not a problem this website has. Global Penfriends is a terrific way to engage and make new friends overall.

I enjoyed having pen pals when I was much younger and I was interested in starting new pen pal friendships from around the world. It is always great to receive snail mail like I used to years ago. Something about getting actual letters handwritten makes you feel good. Give it a try. I am sure you will enjoy meeting new friends from around the globe like I have.
