Here I have found a beautiful community of people. When the world seems so divided and gloomy, especially on mainstream social networks such as Facebook and Instagram, Global Penfriends is the goto place to meet new people.
To anybody who calls them "social networks", I would say: "why do they call them "social", if they're not social? They should be called anti-social. Have you ever visited a website such as Global Penfriends?".

Here messages are always long and well written; conversations are deep and rewarding. There is no doom scrolling; I realize that I don't have the feeling of wasting my time, but rather, of investing it in something bigger than me.
One of the greatest things about this community is that it doesn't have an App, but only a website. Thank you, Global Penfriends, from the bottom of my heart.
This site forces us to use the Internet like a few years ago; you need to take some time do go to the Internet, turn on your computer, fully dedicate to that; and once you have written a few messages, you are done with the Internet for today.
On the other hand, most platform nowadays make us live constantly connected; this is stressful, and, in the long run, detrimental.
