I was worried about all sorts of things - from privacy to whether it made sense to invest time writing to strangers. Safety wise, all fears are assuaged. I have developed a couple of long term penpals from writing here with several others where we only sent a single letter to each other. All things considered, I'm so so happy! Worth the discomfort of putting yourself out there.
