Pausing your profile

Have enough penpals for now, or simply need a break? You can pause your profile at any time — on the site this is called suspending your profile.

What happens when you pause

  • You step out of search Your profile is hidden and no longer visible to other members, so you will not receive new requests.
  • You keep your penpals You can still read and reply to messages from the penpals you already know.
  • Nothing is lost Your profile, photos and friendships are all kept safe. Pausing is not the same as deleting.

How to pause your profile

  1. Sign in and go to My Profile.
  2. Click Suspend Profile.

    You will find Suspend Profile on your My Profile page.
  3. Confirm. Your profile is now paused and hidden from other members.
Ready to come back? You can reactivate your profile at any time from the same My Profile page. Once you do, your profile appears in search again and penpals can find you straight away.
