Logging a letter you posted

When you send a real letter to a penpal through the post, you can log it on the site. It is a lovely way to keep track of your snail-mail friendship — here is how.

How to log a posted letter

  1. Write, stamp and post your letter in the usual way. Only log letters you have genuinely sent.
  2. Sign in and open the conversation with that penpal.
  3. Below the message area, tap I posted a letter to this penpal.

The button sits just below the message area in a conversation.
  4. Confirm Yes, I posted it. Your letter is now logged in the conversation.

You can log one letter per penpal per day.

Why log your letters?

Your penpal knows it is coming. They are gently notified that a letter is on its way to them.

They can confirm it arrived. Your penpal can mark the letter as received, so you both know it got there safely.

It builds your story. Over time, your logged letters become a record of a real, growing friendship.

Please log honestly. Only log letters you have truly posted — the log is a shared record for you and your penpal, not a shortcut. Genuine logs keep it meaningful for everyone.
