Write letters worth waiting for
Getting to know a new penpal
Keep your first conversations here on Global Penfriends, using the club’s own messaging. In the first few weeks and months, ask lots of questions: what is your penpal hoping for, how often would they like to write, and would they like to stay online, write by post, or both?
Contact details stay private until trust is built, and postal addresses are swapped with the Address button when you are both ready. How building trust works.
Stay organised
Weeks or months can pass between letters, so keep your letters together and jot down the things you want to remember about each penpal — birthdays, pets, family names, what they told you last time.
Log the letters you post so you both know what’s on its way (log your post), and Premium members can save a whole conversation as a PDF from the conversation’s menu to keep or print.

Everyone here came looking for friendship. Be considerate, keep things positive, and remember that this is a family-friendly club with members of all ages. We want every member to leave feeling good and looking forward to their next letter.
