Antwerp's mythical story

I live in Antwerpen. "hand" and "werpen' are the Dutch words for "hand" and "throwing". It's believed that the city of Antwerp got his name because Silivius Brabo, a roman soldier, threw the hand of a giant into the river. This soldier cut off hands when people, would wanted to cross the bridge, didn't pay him. There is a even a sculpture of him in the center of Antwerp.
