August 15 public holiday

August 15 is a public holiday each year. It celebrates two holidays: 1) Polish Army Day, which is on the anniversary od the victorious battle of 1920 against Russian army (we call it "cud nad Wisłą" which means "Miracle onthe Vistula"); we celebrate this day by taking part in official march in our city or by watching the main march in Warsow on TV 2) Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary; people are making small bunches of flowers and taking them to the Sunday Mass.
