Orphanage visit on Christmas

I really do not think that this pertains to the US but here goes: When I was 6, we had just opened up all of our Christmas presents. I remember that I was so excited because I got everything that I had asked for. My parents then asked us to pick out our three most favorite presents and that we were going on a car ride. We then pulled up to an orphanage. My sister and brother happily got out but I wasn’t going to budge - these were MY presents but I eventually got out of the car. Once inside, I saw all these children running down this huge spiral staircase. They were so excited to see presents. It was at that age that I realized how important it is to share what you have with others. I have never forgotten that day & I am so thankful my parents taught me that. Looking back, I think it was the best Christmas present - ever. ?
