Visiting the Golden Valley Tree Farm

Golden Valley Tree Park is a sixty hectare landscaped park set in the picturesque hills of Balingup. The heritage listed site has a collection of trees that was begun over one hundred years ago, and is now the largest arboretum in WA. We love visiting this place - especially in Autumn as the variety of shades in leave colour is amazing. We usually take some lunch with us and have a barbeque whilst we are there. There are gas barbeques provided for free as with many of the Australian parks and recreational areas. We collected a bag of acorns which we will try to germinate with the kids and some Indian horse chestnuts which will be grilled later.
