Yang di-Pertuan Agong
Out of the 13 states in Malaysia, 9 of them have a king. Every five years, each of the kings take turns to become the King of Malaysia, known as the "Yang di-Pertuan Agong". During their reign, they will reside in the National Palace located in our capital, Kuala Lumpur. Once, there was a rare occurrence which included one of our states, Kedah, where their king, known as sultan, became the Yang di-Pertuan Agong twice! His first reign was in the 70s while the second was from 2011 to 2016.
