Sächsilüüte
The "Sächsilüüte" is a annual tradition in the region of Zurich, Switzerland. Once a year there are plenty of activities around the city of Zurich to mark the end of winter. A giant snowman is lit on fire, accompanied by many costumed people, horses, march bands, etc. We count down the time it takes for the head of the snowman to explode. If it goes off quickly we believe to have good weather in spring and summer. Alongside this main event, there are plenty of food stands, attractions for kids and families, etc. Perfect to spend some time with family and friends! Image credit: sechseläuten.ch
