Native American Effigy Mounds

My work is focused on planning and designing for outdoor recreation in natural areas. However, our natural areas in Wisconsin contain cultural vestiges of the indigenous people that lived here long before european settlement. Effigy mounds reflect the sacred nature of special places in Wisconsin, and are thought to represent animal spirits in a netherworld.
