Adirondack State Park
The Adirondack Park in Northern New York is the largest state park in the United States and is larger than most national parks, including Yosemite, Yellowstone, and Grand Canyon National Parks. In fact, the Adirondacks is larger than most New England states, and contains 46 high peaks, over 29.000 acres, thousands of ponds and lakes, and sections of land only accessible by landing a small plane on a lake. I live on the edge of the park, and it is an outstanding place for numerous outdoor activities. It is a true gem to those who love the outdoors, and is locally beloved by many.
