Hiking and desert nature trails

Hiking is a really popular activity in Arizona. It’s enjoyed year round but it’s most popular in the fall and winter months. Two of the most well known mountains in Phoenix are Camelback Mountain and Piestewa Peak. Tour groups often come to these mountains to see Arizona’s unique wildlife and plants, including multiple kinds of cacti and trees that are only found in the Sonoran desert.
