Katahdin mountain in Baxter State Park

This mountain is the highest in the state of Maine, nestled in the middle of Baxter State Park at the top of the 100 Mile Wilderness. It is a difficult and precarious rock climb to its peak—5,000 feet over 4 miles! This mountain holds significance as it is typically the end point for those hiking the long Appalachian Trail, a footpath that runs through 14 states and spans over 2,000 miles up the eastern coast of the US. This was the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life and it was such an adventure! It was also where I became engaged to the lives of my life. :)
