The Moor (bog)

A specialty of my region, which I come from, are the bog. In the past, peat was extracted in the bog, which was then dried and then used as fuel for stoves. Nowadays hardly any peat is extracted and most of the moors are now nature reserves. It is always time to go hiking in the bog because it is a unique landscape in which there are many plants, and you can also see rare animals again and again. It is special early in the morning just before the sun rises and everyone is shrouded in thick fog. But even if the bog is already, it is so dangerous because you can sink into it quickly and once you get stuck somewhere you cannot get out again without help. A bog body has even been found from a girl who sank into the bog 2000 years ago. The mud in the moor gave her body an excellent concert so that the body was in excellent condition for its age.
