Recife - the Brazilian Venice

This is my hometown, Recife. Its name means literally "Reef" in Portuguese because of the natural reef formations along its coastline. Historical port, my city was an important commercial point for centuries in Brazil. Its people played a leading role in several important battles for freedom in my country.
