Kandy Esala Perahera

Kandy Esala Perahera is an yearly celebrating traditional even based in Kandy city, Sri Lanka. This is a buddhist event comprised of different traditional dances as well as traditional rituals. This is celebrating to pay tribute to the sacred tooth relic of Lord Buddha. Here you can see beautifully designed Elephants carrying caskets which is considered as a sacred object.
