Hrabesin castle

Hraběšín is a castle in the village of the same name southwest of Čáslav in the district of Kutná Hora in the Central Bohemian Region. It was founded in the Renaissance style in the first half of the seventeenth century as a lordly seat of a small estate. In the years 1658–1783, it served the needs of the monastery in Sedlec, and in the nineteenth century it was the hunting seat of the Schwarzenberg family. The preserved form of the castle grounds is the result of the Baroque reconstruction from the eighteenth century and later modifications. The castle with adjacent lands and farmyard is protected as a cultural monument.
