The Kälenfest is a celebration at the beginning of summer where my town basically reminisces about what happened in my town. The biggest thing being that the upper part (Neustadt) and lower part (Altstadt) used to fight each other before uniting. It happens over a weekend on the marketplace in the "Altstadt". There is a flea market, where a lot of people that live in the area sell stuff they no longer need. On the marketplace, itself is a stage where we play out things that happened in the town and a stand with beer....because Germans use any excuse to drink beer.
On Sunday there is always a play where a thieve who stole a goat gets dunked into our local river (The river is too cold around that time so a big box has to do)
