diversity in germany
I‘ve seen a lot of different places in germany. I currently live in Gießen and it is a big modern city compared to where i lived before. I can still see forests when I look outside of windows. I used to go hiking in the hills where people grow lots of grapes. It is pretty much in the middle of germany and therefore not very close to any shore. The travelling system is known for frustrating people. The summers here are too warm for me (35-40 C) and winters are quite cold (around 0 C), but there is never snow here and the sky is never blue in winter. People start selling christmas stuff in autuum. April is known for unexpected weather everyday. In germany there are people with very different religious believes and some dont celebrate christmas. If you walk through the city you can see many shops from different countries. So dont expect germany to be full of white people wearing Lederhosen and drinking beer. Oh but what i believe is very different to other countries is our bread. We have so many different kinds of bread and you barely find the typical white bread that is common in other countries. Recycling is also a very normal thing in germany. We are very proud of our law because human rights are incredibly important to us but even in germany there are racists and intolerant conservatives etc. If you wanna go sightseeing then you‘ll probably get disappointed in Giessen. I mean, one of our landmarks is called Elefanten Klo. That means an elefants toilet. It‘s not even special. What I really like tho is going on long walks and seeing lots of nature and hills etc.
