Seollal

It is one of big holiday in Korea. It means ‘New year’s day’ and it’s on January 1st by ‘lunar calendar’. In the past, a big family was gather together, but these days, we spend holiday with just few members of family. (Like parents and grandparents) On holiday, we wear hanbok(it’s Korea’s traditional clothes. but most of people don’t wear it except little kids.) and eat tteokguk(a traditional food) and other traditional foods. Eating tteokguk means getting a year older. Also we bow(It called sebae) to the elders and get New year’s money gift.
