What’s her background?
According to our countries history, before colonization, we were considered Poqomam, ch’orti’ or Pipil people. A country occupied by indigenous and native tribes, speaking the language of Nahuat. After colonization of the European Spaniards, we are now considered hispanics and/or latinos. In 1524, El Salvador was the second stop after Guatemala, of the Spanish conquest that was led by Pedro De Alvarado. Salvadorian’s now only speak Spanish, the language of Spain, and most of our native history has been erased. As of 2023, El Salvador is now known for its new president Nayib Bukele and his new built tourist attraction, Surf City and/or Bitcoin City. El Salvador is much more than a tourist attraction but a country of rich culture, food and history.
