Escarapela Day

The 18th of may we celebrate the National Escarapela Day (you might know it as Cockade) A long time ago it was decreed the use of such an emblem with the colors white and sky blue as a homeland insignia. The cockade is not properly a national symbol, although it proves our national identity. This is why it takes very different forms: cockade, ribbon, bow, pin, and is then characterized as an emblem of nationality. The use indicates its location on the left of the chest or on the flap.
