Concorde aircraft

Concorde was the fastest commercial passenger aircraft ever. It was built in Toulouse (France) and Bristol (UK) and designed by a team made-up of French and British engineers. The four Olympus engines, used in each Concorde were made by Rolls-Royce, but based on designs created by the Bristol Aircraft Corporation - a company originally set-up by Bristol City Council. I grew-up watching (and hearing and FEELING) Concorde prototypes flying into the factory at Patchway in Bristol - a fantastic sight that every Bristolian alive at that time remembers.
