Metropol (Bonn) transformation to bookstore

Thalia is a big Bookstore that has a lot of stores in different places , but the Thalia in Bonn, which is now a huge bookstore, was once one of the last larger cinemas in Germany called Metropol . The building has been a listed building since 1983. In December 2005 the Metropol got a new owner who shut down the place in 2006 . Mayoress Bärbel Dieckmann campaigned 2007 for modified conversion plans in the Metropol which conversion plans were canceled in autumn of 2007 . The conversion to a bookstore began in 2009 and was completed in autumn 2010.
