Yalda Night

We (Iranians) celebrate the last night of the autumn, aka the longest night of the year. Traditional snacks that night contains Pomegranate, watermelon, and nuts. We will get together and stay up until the morning (or at least midnight) and have fun. We also read some poetries of "Hafez" (Was a great poet). I have heard that in the past we had some kind of trick or treat (without the scary part) at yalda night but it no longer exists. I guess because of the apartments.
