Winchester hat fair

the hat fair is a festival that takes place every year on the first weekend of July in my city, Winchester. the festival is centred around music street theatre and comedy - unlike the name suggests, it is not about hats, and it actually takes its name from the tradition of the audience showing their appreciation by putting money in the hat at the end of the show. Essentially it is just a huge spectacle of buskers from all over the country and its great fun and something my family and I always look forward to.
