History in Herts

I live in Hertfordshire which is a county rich in history. In 50 AD, St Albans was invaded by the Romans and was transformed into the grand settlement called Verulamium. It was subsequently torched to the ground by Boudica a decade later (thanks, Boudica) yet the beautiful city still has remnants of its bygone Roman era.
