Nón lá - Straw Hat (pronounced nong la)

Worn all over Vietnam, nón lá is a traditional hat used by farmers and everyday people to keep them out of the dangerous heat. Made of straw and a metal rim, weaved into a hat, it has a fabric fastener on the bottom and can be adjusted. Some people will even turn them into an art form by embroidering and painting on the hat with poems or ect. Stylish and a great reminder of home, the photo is attached!
