Ceilidh, dance gathering

A ceilidh (pronounced kay-lee) is a gathering where you perform traditional scottish dances together. There is special music called ceilidh or folk music, and we learn the dances in the early years of school. Its so much fun and absolutely exhausting!! We also usually wear kilts, or a piece of tartan. Its also almost always a part of Scottish weddings too!
