Fettisdag, Shrove Tuesday

Fettisdag or Shrove Tuesday in English is a day that can occur on a Tuesday between February 3rd and March 9th. Traditionally it is a christian holiday but today in Sweden it is mainly an excuse to feast on my favourite pastry, the semla. A sweet roll with delicious almond paste, topped with whipped cream and dusted with powdered sugar.
