I enjoy quilting
I took up quilting a few years ago, as I feel like so much of my life has been swallowed by….stuff, but quilting takes hours, and hours of meticulous meditative planning, measuring, cutting, sewing…. Among other (non-idyllic) things, the end results bring comfort, clarity, and a hands on world-wide connection to our present time, and our rich past. A home-made quilt is where many moments during its creation, a heart has layed itself bare.
