Car Free Day in Jakarta

Every Sunday morning, the capital city of Jakarta would block several designated streets from motorcycles and cars allowing only public intercity buses and bicycles to enter. People from all over Jakarta and nearby cities would come to those ‘car-free’ areas and participate in activities like jogging, marathons, biking, setting up food stalls, street dancing, etc. It’s one of the way people can freely roam the streets and enjoy the city without heavily polluted air.
