Four Knocks

An extremely special place for me. Taking a drive there on late summer evenings was a regular occurrence during my childhood. Four Knocks is a neolithic passage tomb located in Co.Meath. It is about 5000 years old. If you ask the farmer who lives next door you can receive the key to the passage tomb. Inside is prehistoric art of a bear as well as maybe the oldest depiction of a human face in Ireland. As well as this amazing art there were dozens of human remains found here at this burial site. It is best to visit at sunrise. The view is amazing and you might even meet a few sheep.
