Tea usage in China

It is said that the Chinese discovered and utilized tea for at least four thousand years. Around the 5th century AD during the Northern and Southern Dynasties, Chinese tea began to be exported to neighboring Southeast Asian countries and other parts of Asia. In the 10th century, Mongolian caravans came to China to engage in trade, and Chinese brick tea was brought to Central Asia via Siberia. Tea was brought to Europe by the Dutch in the 17th century, and the British brought the fashion of drinking tea to America and Australia, spreading it throughout the world.
