Konfirmasjon when we turn 15 years of age

The year we turn 15 we can choose if we wanna have a konfirmasjon. If we do want it, we have to choose either a Christian konfirmasjon or bourgeois. The Christian one was more normal in the older days but still over 50% choose it because of family traditions or because they are Christian. While the bourgeois is more about humanity and learning about philosophy and such stuff, how to be the best person possible and how to live a good life for you. You go to camps and travel with your konfirmasjon group, and have a course once a week about either christianity or humanity. This is because you gotta be educated about different subjects to be able to go through the cermony of konfirmating, but konfirmasjon has in no way anything to do with school. When the ceremony happens it is often normal to wear bunad, a cultural clothing, that you get as gift from family. You also often get jewelery that will last forever and lods of money that most people save for when they move out! After the ceremony ,that all family has been a part off, there is big cakes and loads of food and just lovely times! These are pictures from my bourgeois konfirmasjon<3
