Celebrations at Union Station - Kansas City
Over 400,000 fans converge to celebrate another Super Bowl victory for the KC Chiefs. The team has four championships to date, three in the last five seasons. The people of this region are huge supporters of their sports teams, especially their football! Built in 1914, Union Station is 850,000 square feet. Was originally a major midwest transportation hub (train station), the north waiting room held 10,000 people. Union Station is a Kansas City landmark, and now houses Science City, Gottlieb Planetarium, City Stage Live Theater, and many shops & restaurants. A wonderful place to visit!
