La tour de Vésone

The Tour de Vésone is a remnant of a grand temple in the ancient Roman city of Vésone, now Périgueux, in Aquitaine. This tower, over 24 meters high, was part of a temple dedicated to the goddess Vesunna, the city's protective deity associated with water. It was built in the 2nd century. A nice sight if you're ever near Périgueux, France!
