Konfirmasjon, celebrating turning 15

Konfirmasjon is originally a religious act in the church where a teenager at the age of 15 celebrates their faith to god, and entering adulthood. Nowdays It's mostly a celebration of entering adulthood, everyone can celebrate it even if your not christian. During this time you go to meetings where you are taught about big questions in life and finding yourself. This is the time where girls get their norwegian traditional clothing called Bunad. The event is celebrated with the entire family, speeches and congratulations to the "konfirmant".
