Tonnenabschlagen tradition

Tonnenabschlagen is literally translated to 'knock off a barrel'. It's a tradition in my (and the surrounding) village(s). You have a wooden club with which you hit the wooden barrel like a pinata. For the kids, they just hit while running under it, but the parents do the same while on a horse. It's pretty fun and a lovely tradition and it starts with a small parade. The one who manages to knock off the last part of the barrel wins and (in the adult version) has to pay for the first round of beer for every other participant.
