Kapsala

In the middle of June in celebration of Saint Giannis Klidonas, young women and men collect bundles of dry grass, as well as various useless objects that easily catch fire. And they light fires in the streets, here and there at regular intervals, in the crowded parts of the neighborhood. Then lined up they jump over the fires again and again in hopes of blocking bad energy and illnesses away as it was believed.
