American High School Prom

In an American culture. We have a thing we call “prom” where a bunch of people come together at the school or other building after hours to have a party that is hosted by the community/school. Typically “prom” is created and set up by the second to last grade of high school which we called juniors. This past school year I was a year younger than a junior class so I was not in charge of the dance, but I was still able to attend. It is an extreme rite of passage and a very looked forward to event and is considered one of the most important events of being in high school. It is a night where you can go and look your best and have a great time.
