Christmas Eve

During Christmas Eve, it is expected that every family members come back home to their parents' house. The grandparents also join this event. Everyone goes to church together and then have dinner. The dinner menu has to be very simple and in my family we eat sausages (vegan sausages for no-meat eaters) with potato salad. My grandmother would prepare the potato salad with the grandkids. For the evening program, the kids would prepare a song or tell stories (mostly jokes). The evening would then closed up with gift giving and taking a family picture.
