Kurentovanje traditional festival

It’s a tradition festival in the town of Ptuj. Kurenti are people dressed in heavy sheepskin costumes wearing large noisy bells around their waste. Horns on their head are coverd with colorful ribbons. A part of the mask is also a large red tongue. The purpose of the event is to end the winter and welcome the spring.
