Kue Putu, Snack

Kue putu is a type of traditional Indonesian snack in the form of a cake filled with Javanese sugar, coated with grated coconut and coarse grain rice flour. This cake is steamed by placing it in a bamboo tube that is slightly compacted. In Indonesia, putu cake has undergone slight modifications. In China, the filling of this cake is green beans. Meanwhile, Indonesian people replace it with Javanese brown sugar, adjusted to the existing ingredients.
