Sorolla, The beauty of everyday
Sorolla is one of my favourite artists, and one of the most well known in Spain. His paintings are about his family or common activities, like going to the beach or going for a walk in the garden. He had a rough start in life since he lost his parents when he was just a baby, but with time, he grew a family of his own, who he loved with all his heart (something i don´´'t hear that much about other famous artists).He uses warm tones, that make the painting look really appealing and comforting. And the way he uses his brushes makes them look rough, but natural and beautiful, like an abstract painting.In Madrid, you can find his home, where he designed everything with the help of friends (the gardens, the plants, the floors, the decorations...). I believe is a must if you visit the city.
